Tale of the tape for Jordan Williams vs. Nassourdine Imavov

This Saturday night Jordan Williams will take on Nassourdine Imavov in a middleweight bout that will be live from UFC Fight Island 4 in Abu Dhabi and available on ESPN+.

Williams will enter this fight with a 9-3 MMA record. The 29-year-old Californian has seven knockouts in those nine victories. He’s an ultra-aggressive fighter, throwing 8.05 significant strikes per minute and landing 55 percent of them. He also takes a beating as his opponent lands 6.37 strikes per minutes on 34 percent accuracy. The 6’ Williams is powerful as a striker but averse to grappling.

That’s not how Nassourdine Imavov fights, as he has four submissions on his eight MMA victories. Imavov will be appearing in the UFC for the first time after having competed four times in 2019. The French-born fighter has had just two of his ten fights go the distance. The 25-year-old Frenchman fights out of the MMA Factory in Paris.

I wouldn’t expect this to last all three rounds as a taller grappler will face a big-time striker.
