What to do with Carson Wentz in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Carson Wentz’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Eagles Week 7 matchup against the Giants on Thursday Night Football.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz to injuries in Week 6 but are expected to get DeSean Jackson back for a Week 7 matchup against the New York Giants. Carson Wentz hasn’t had his best weapons for must of the season. Can he bounce back in a critical game for control of the NFC East?

Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles QB Carson Wentz

Wentz has had a rough year. He’s been without Jackson for most of the season while Alshon Jeffery has yet to play a game in 2020. Travis Fulgham has been a bright spot for the receiving corps, but Philly will need more than him against the Giants. James Bradberry has played like an elite cornerback for New York this season and the Giants’ have a top 10 run defense so far this year. Went should get plenty of throws with Boston Scott as the Eagles’ feature back, but hasn’t been efficient. Wentz ranks third in passing attempts but 32nd in completion percentage.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

The Eagles are missing too many key players for Wentz to have a big-time game. I’d bench him in this matchup and expect his defense to do the heavy lifting and give him a short field to work with.
