Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson has been banged up for half the season with a hamstring injury but appears set to return for his team’s Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets. Fantasy managers have been waiting for a breakout game from the speedster. Can he provide a spark to the Eagles’ depleted receiving corps?
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles WR DeSean Jackson
Jackson was among the league leaders in air yards before he got hurt in Week 3 but didn’t manage to find the end zone. He hasn’t been able to make the home run plays he’s known for and is averaging a career-low 12.1 yards per catch. While Jalen Reagor, Alshon Jeffery, and Zach Ertz are out with injuries, Jackson could play second fiddle to recent breakout Travis Fulgham. It’s unclear whether the Giants will commit to covering Jackson with their best cornerback. If they don’t he could have his best game of the season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Jackson hasn’t shown any hasn’t shown his usual burst and I’m skeptical about him taking the reins after a three-game layoff. I’d sit the 33-year-old in this matchup.
