Friday update: Coach Sean McVay believes both Tyler Higbee and Darrell Henderson will play on Monday night, per Jordan Rodrigue. Henderson should still be the lead back, but McVay could go with the hot hand if Henderson falters at all.
The Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee and running back Darrell Henderson were added to the injury report on Thursday, per The Athletic’s Jordan Rodrique. Henderson has a thigh injury while Higbee’s is a hand. Both have extra time, as the Rams take on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
At this point, both players still have a good chance of playing, but will need to get some work in on Friday for us to feel better about their status. If Higbee can’t go, Gerald Everett would take over and be a strong play with the majority of the work while Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers would likely split work with Henderson on the shelf.
Henderson has been the lead back for most of the season now and has played well enough to keep the lead role moving forward if he can stay healthy. His status as the top back also lends some credence to the team just wanting to give him a rest, but we’ll need to wait for more information.
