Game day update: ESPN’s PPR projections have Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp each projected at just under 14.0 points for the game. Josh Reynolds is projected at 6.5 points. All three have lower ceilings against the Bears than they would normally have.
Robert Woods has been ... fine this season. Cooper Kupp has been ... fine this season. Neither man has exceeded their 4th-5th-round ADP during the preseason, but they haven’t bottomed out either. Josh Reynolds can pitch in with a chunk gain or two every week. These three will do battle against the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds
Kupp posted his worst game of the year in Week 6 as he secured just three of nine targets for 11 yards. The previous two weeks weren’t all that great either; he recorded a 5-66-0 line in Week 5, and finished with 5-69-1 after saving his day with a 52-yard TD late in Week 4. At least his healthy 23.7 percent target share is tops on the team, so he remains useful through that alone. Woods is seeing 21.6 percent of the Rams’ targets and although he has scored in three of his last four games, he hasn’t topped 75 receiving yards since Week 1 and has ended three games with fewer than 40 yards. Reynolds is an also-ran in this receiving corps. He’ll get 4-5 looks per week and try to turn them into something big. He hasn’t caught more than four passes in any game and notched his first touchdown of the year in Week 6. The Bears have permitted the third-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers per game and only one touchdown to that position all year.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Kupp and Woods see enough volume to remain startable, but in this matchup where Jared Goff is probably going to struggle, his top targets should be viewed as low-end WR2s/high-endWR3s at best. Both men cost more than $6,000 on DraftKings and are worth fading at that price. Reynolds is waiver-wire fodder in season-long leagues and costs $3,400.
