What to do with D’Andre Swift, Adrian Peterson in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over D’Andre Swift, Adrian Peterson’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Lions Week 7 matchup against the Falcons.

Game day update: Adrian Peterson will remain the Lions’ starter, but D’Andre Swift will have an expanded role after a breakout performance last week, according to Ian Rapoport. It’s not surprising ESPN is now projecting Swift to finish with a better day than Peterson, at 13.2 points to 8.7 points in PPR leagues.

The Week 7 opponent for the Detroit Lions is the lowly Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons defense doesn’t do much well, but it does do a decent job at stopping the run. So what should you do with Lions running backs D’Andre Swift and Adrian Peterson?

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions RBs D’Andre Swift, Adrian Peterson

Swifts value, before last week, was incredibly questionable. He wasn’t given all that many opportunities in the ground game and his receiving production wasn’t all that excitable. Against the Jaguars, he received only one less carry than Adrian Peterson and still got four targets in the passing game. He was everything Peterson wasn’t for the Lions, breaking a long run and scoring two touchdowns. The trust of Swift should be continued for at least another week till the Lions are certain of who should take the brunt of the load. He’s worth a start over Peterson for now.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit Peterson.
