Temple and Memphis are coming off victories as they match up against each other on Saturday.

The Temple Owls will head on the road to play the Memphis Tigers on Saturday as both teams are coming off victories.

Temple is coming off a 39-37 home win over the USF Bulls on Saturday for its first victory of the season to improve to 1-1. Anthony Russo threw four touchdown passes and completed 30 of 42 passes for 270 yards with his too-oft two interceptions. Randle Jones caught eight passes for 81 yards and one touchdown, and Jadan Blue had two touchdowns and caught nine passes for 60 yards.

Memphis beat the UCF Knights 50-49 at home on Saturday in a game the Tigers trailed by three scores early in the second half. Memphis survived on a missed field goal in the final seconds. Brady White completed 34 of 50 passes for 486 yards and threw for six touchdowns. Calvin Austin III caught nine passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns, and Tahj Washington went for 131 yards with seven catches. Five players caught touchdown passes for Memphis.

These two teams alternated victories in each of the five times they’ve faced each other. In 2019 Temple won 30-28 at home.

The Best Bet

I’m very surprised this number is as low as it is. Yes, this is the ultimate trap game for Memphis coming off a huge win over UCF and right before a road game with the unbeaten Cincinnati Bearcats. It seems hard to believe the Temple Owls will be the team to knock off Memphis or even keep it close. The Tigers have played much better competition, and Temple’s lone win came by two points against a USF team that had previously been blown out in its three games against FBS competition this season. Let’s take the favorites.

Pick: Memphis -13.5
