Kansas will go for its first victory of the season against in-state rival Kansas State on Saturday.

The Kansas State Wildcats will host the winless Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday at noon ET, with K-State looking to keep their winning streak alive.

After a loss to the Arkansas State Red Wolves in the season opener Kansas State has three consecutive victories, most recently against the TCU Horned Frogs 21-14 on Oct. 10. Freshman quarterback Will Howard completed eight of 19 passes for 117 yards and no touchdowns with an interception. He led the team in rushing with 86 yards on 13 carries with a touchdown.

Kansas is headed into this game with an 0-4 record and have been blown out in all four losses to Coastal Carolina, Baylor, Oklahoma State and West Virginia, a 38-17 loss last weekend. Quarterback Miles Kendrick completed 14 of 23 passes for 95 yards on one touchdown and two interceptions. The Jayhawks rushed for two yards per carry as a team in the loss.

Kansas State won the last 11 matchups in this Sunflower State series. In 2019, the Wildcats won 38-10 on the road.

The Best Bet

I am not a medical professional, but placing your hard-earned dollars on Kansas at this point cannot be good for your overall health. The Jayhawks are getting crushed every time they step on the field whether it’s against Big 12 competition or the Sun Belt with a 15-point loss to Coastal Carolina in the season opener. There is not a whole lot of life in this program, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable betting on anything Jayhawks.

Pick: Kansas State +20
