The Mountain West finally returns this weekend, and plenty of bettors are getting in on the action when the UNLV Rebels head on the road to play the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday night. This game will get started at 10:30 p.m. ET and will air on CBS Sports Network.
San Diego State is coming off a 10-3 season capped off by a 48-11 victory over Central Michigan in its bowl game. Brady Hoke was promoted from defensive line coach to the team’s head coach for a team that will look to improve on its offense from last year that ranked No. 112 in scoring. Carson Baker won the starting quarterback job over Georgia Tech transfer Lucas Johnson.
UNLV is coming off a 4-8 record in 2019, and the Rebels will also be operating with a new head coach this season in Marcus Arroyo. UNLV has a solid group of receivers led by Randal Grimes, who caught 44 passes for 696 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Charles Williams had a fantastic season running the ball in 2019 with 1,257 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Sports bettors at DraftKings are confident San Diego State will be able to get this done with 70% of the bets coming in on the Aztecs as well as 81% of the handle. The point total is at 50.5, and bettors will be rooting for points. Eighty-nine percent of bets are going toward the over with 69% of the handle. On the moneyline, UNLV is at +450, while San Diego State has -625 to win outright. The Aztecs are getting 94% of the moneyline bets but just 59% of the money.
