Breaking down the Big 12 standings coming out of Week 8

As Week 8 of the college football season comes to a close, we break down the standings as the Big 12 starts to look to Week 9.

Week 8 of the college football season is underway, and the Big 12 has all 10 teams playing this weekend. We had two games in the noon slot, with Kansas State routing Kansas 55-14 in Lawrence, and Oklahoma getting a 33-14 road win against TCU

Oklahoma State defeated Iowa State 24-21, and Baylor fell 27-16 at Texas. And in the nightcap, West Virginia fell to Texas Tech 34-27.

We’ll be updating the standings throughout the rest of the Saturday. Several Big 12 teams played an out of conference game this season, so they have overall and conference records listed. Teams that did not play a non-conference game have a single record listed.

Kansas State Wildcats: 4-0, 4-1
Iowa State Cyclones: 3-0, 3-1
Oklahoma State Cowboys: 2-0, 3-0
West Virginia Mountaineers: 2-2, 3-2
Texas Longhorns: 2-2, 3-2
Oklahoma Sooners: 2-2, 3-2
Baylor Bears: 1-2
TCU Horned Frogs: 1-3
Texas Tech Red Raiders: 1-3, 2-3
Kansas Jayhawks: 0-4, 0-5
