What to do with Eric Ebron, Vance McDonald in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Eric Ebron, Vance McDonald’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Steelers Week 7 matchup against the Titans.

It’s tough being a tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. The team is just so loaded with talented offensive skill players elsewhere on the roster that there just isn’t much work for them. And while it can be tempting to see a high-scoring outfit like this and think someone like Eric Ebron could be a viable fantasy option, well... it’s just not been the case this season.

Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers TEs Eric Ebron, Vance McDonald

Ebron averages nearly five targets per game, so he’s definitely got a role to play. And while he catches most of the passes that come his way, those rarely materialize into the kind of fantasy stats you need from a tight end. His best game this season was in Week 3 against the Texans when he had 52 yards and a touchdown.

This week’s opponent, the Titans, aren’t great against tight ends. They’ve given up one touchdown to the position in four of five games played this season. So there’s the chance that Ebron could find pay dirt on work in the red zone. But it’s still a risky play with so many other mouths to feed in this offense.

Vance McDonald isn’t an option at all for fantasy.
