It’s been a tough season for Matthew Stafford from a fantasy perspective thus far, as he is currently the 24th ranked player at the quarterback position, averaging 17.1 points per game. He had a disappointing outing in Week 6, when he completed 19 of 31 passes for 226 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Lions got most of the work done on the ground and were able to win the game, despite Stafford’s pedestrian performance. He will look to improve in Week 7 as he takes on Atlanta. Is he worth starting as he faces the worst pass defense in the league? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions QB Matthew Stafford
There are few match-ups this season that can excite a fantasy owner as much as their quarterback facing off against the Atlanta Falcons, who are allowing an average of 335 air yards per game and have given up 18 passing touchdowns this year. Kenny Golladay is also back to full health and provides a needed boost to Stafford’s game. The stars seem to be aligning for Stafford this Week and owners can start him as a QB1 in Week 7.
