You can add me to the list of people who thought Andy Dalton would be a good starter in fantasy formats last week against the Cardinals. Everything just looked so good for him: they weren’t facing an elite defense, the Cowboys have a top tier running back, and they’ve got a trio of very good receivers. Well, I won’t make that mistake again. It’s Andy Dalton.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys QB Andy Dalton
Dalton threw the ball an incredible 54 times last week, which is understandable when you’re down 28-3 heading into the fourth quarter. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 266 yards and a touchdown—a lot of his work came on dink and dunk stuff too—but those two interceptions were backbreakers.
Things might not be as bad this week against Washington. I mean, they can’t be that bad again, right? Maybe so, but I’m not touching Dalton in any fantasy format until I see some consistency.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Andy Dalton.
