What to do with Baker Mayfield in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Baker Mayfield’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Browns Week 7 matchup against the Bengals.

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Browns face the Bengals in a AFC North battle. A good quarter back match up in this one as Baker Mayfield faces Joe Burrow. Mayfield looks to rebound from a tough loss last week vs the Steelers. How will Mayfield perform fantasy wise?

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns QB Baker Mayfield

It’s no secret Baker Mayfield struggled against the Steelers defense last week. They might have the best defense period in the league this season. A lot of the talk this week has been about moving on from him which is crazy considering he just went a month undefeated with the Browns. His numbers could use work and last week seemed to be a continuation of a downward slope as he completed only 58.8 percent of his passes for 6.2 yards per attempt and a 5:4 TD:INT over the last three weeks.

That is not good. He does have a favorable matchup with the Bengals, but can he improve the numbers? If he can cut turnovers to zero and have a similar game to the Colts game a couple weeks ago, then yes. In that one he went 21 for 37 and 247 yards with two TD’s and two interceptions. Somewhere in the middle of that game and the Steelers one seems more likely.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit him, until proven otherwise.
