What to do with Dalton Schultz in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Dalton Schultz’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Cowboys Week 7 matchup against Washington.

Outside of Cowboys fans themselves, there might not be anyone who misses Dak Prescott more than tight end Dalton Schultz. With Andy Dalton struggling to run the offense, most of the team’s once formidable fantasy options are taking a huge hit.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz

Over the last two weeks, Schultz has five catches for 41 yards, compared to 219 yards and two touchdowns on 18 receptions through the first four games of the season. He went from an average of 12.7 yards per reception to 8.2 in Dalton’s check down universe.

It won’t always be this way. At some point, even with Dalton under center, the Cowboys are going to get close enough to the end zone for them to try and get Schultz the ball. That gives him some upside for touchdowns in fantasy, but it’s just too hard to count on that happening with enough regularity to put him in your lineup, even this week against Washington.
