What to do with Cam Newton in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Cam Newton’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Patriots Week 7 matchup against the 49ers.

Cam Newton has struggled a bit in the passing game so far this season, but he has managed to make up for his inadequacies through the air with his rushing ability. The 49ers have been a relatively tough match-up for quarterbacks so far this season and they will not make things easy on Newton in Week 7. Does he still belong in your lineups anyway? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots QB Cam Newton

Cam Newton completed 17 of 25 passes for only 157 yards while tacking on two interceptions in Week 6 against the Broncos. His fantasy day was salvaged by 76 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Week 7 brings en even tougher match-up with the 49ers and Cam’s receiving corps won’t be getting any upgrades. It’s quite possible we can expect much of the same in Week 7. Even so, Newton’s versatility keeps him in the low-end QB1 range and he can be still be started in your line ups this week.
