The Pittsburgh Steelers could have their full lineup of wide receivers available this week when they face the Tennessee Titans in game that’s sure to have a lasting impact in the AFC playoff chase. One name back in the mix, finally, who’s sure to make fantasy decisions a little tougher, is Diontae Johnson.
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers WR Diontae Johnson
Johnson was forced out of their Week 5 game against the Eagles with a back injury, and he was inactive last week against the Browns. But he returned to practice this week as a full participant, which is about as good of a sign as any that he’ll play this week.
The first two games of the season saw Johnson firmly establish himself as the Steelers’ No. 1 receiver. He had 23 targets in those two games, catching 14 of them for 149 yards and a touchdown. After injuries struck, we’ve seen Chase Claypool grab that role and put his stamp on it. I like Johnson better than, say, James Washington or JuJu Smith-Schuster, for fantasy this week, but Claypool is the best option, a true WR1 versus a WR 2/3 with upside.
