After a bouncing back last week, San Francisco 49er quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is back in the good graces of fantasy owners. But is he a viable option for this week’s game against the Patriots?
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo
Garoppolo looked great against the Rams last week. He completed 23 of 33 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns, his first three-touchdown performance of the season. It was enough to shake off any lingering memories of a Week 5 outing against the Dolphins that saw him get benched.
This week’s challenge is a little tougher. The secondary might be the best thing the Patriots have going for them this season. Still, they’ve been pretty hit or miss, making this a little tougher to predict. The Niners won’t have running back Raheem Mostert, but they will have George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel. Garoppolo might not have the highest ceiling of any QB this week, but he’s not the worst play either.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Jimmy Garoppolo.
