The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals go head-to-head Sunday night. These two teams head into Week 7 with the Seahawks undefeated in first place in the NFC West and the Cardinals at 4-2, tied for second place in the West. There’s no doubt that the Seahawks will be favored, but this is a huge opportunity for the Cardinals to knock off the king of the mountain.
Tonight’s fantasy points are going to go to the likes of Russell Wilson, Chris Carson, Tyrell Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, Kyler Murray, Deandre Hopkins and Kenyan Drake. The question is, who are those one or two players further down the pecking order that will become critical in this game and help you roster more studs in the DraftKings Showdown?
Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals, $6,200
We saw what Christian Kirk did last week with just two receptions, as he went for 86 yards and scored twice against the Cowboys. The Cowboys weren’t able to put up a fight, so Kyler Murray didn’t need to throw all that much, but this week the Seahawks have a bad pass defense and one of the best offenses in the league. Murray will be forced to throw more and Kirk should be a prime target, especially if DeAndre Hopkins is limited at all.
Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals, $4,000
Edmonds wasn’t needed much against the Cowboys because he’s been getting more work in passing situations than running, and the Cardinals were in run mode early on with Andy Dalton and company playing awfully. I expect this week will be a better game script to see him used as a receiver and to get some light fronts to run against in pass mode.
David Moore, WR, Seahawks, $5,400
Moore is as inconsistent as they come, but he does see targets and coming from Russell Wilson, those targets are high value. He’s not someone to use in cash games, but he’s a smart play in tournaments.
Andy Isabella. WR, Cardinals, $3,000
Isabella is the David Moore of Cardinals wide receivers. He gets 2-4 targets per game and with his big play ability, he can turn those into big fantasy points. And like Kirk, Isabella’s targets would see a nice boost if Hopkins is limited or out with his ankle injury.
