Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith did not appear on the Friday injury report as he had been battling an ankle injury. Previously, he was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and practiced full on Thursday.
What should fantasy owners do with Smith on Sunday? Let’s take a closer look.
Fantasy Football analysis: Titans TE Jonnu Smith
Smith caught one of his two targets in the Titans’ most recent game against the Houston Texans last week for 13 yards before leaving with an injury. Anthony Firkser came in and had a career day with eight catches for 113 yards with touchdown.
Tennessee appears to utilize its tight ends a lot, as Smith sees a solid volume of targets his way each week and has helped out fantasy owners by getting into the end zone five times so far this season.
The Titans are matched up with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in a game between undefeated teams. The Steelers are coming off a game in which they allowed five catches and 52 yards to Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Smith has proven to be a must start as a fantasy tight end every week moving forward. If you have him, you’re likely starting him.
