Game status: Jordan Akins is INACTIVE for Week 7.

If you were counting on Houston Texans tight end Jordan Akins in fantasy football leagues this week, you probably should look for help elsewhere. Akins is listed as questionable on the weekly injury report with both an ankle injury and a concussion. He missed practice all week, which does not bode well for his availability against the Packers on Sunday afternoon.

Fantasy impact: Jordan Akins (ankle, concussion)

Akins has been inactive for the last two weeks after leaving Houston’s Week 4 game against the Vikings. It’s worth noting that he was practicing on a limited basis ahead of both of those games, before ultimately being a scratch. Given that he didn’t practice at all this week points to him not being quite ready to play.

His absence means more work for Daniel Fells, who’s been on a solid run over the last two weeks without Akins in the lineup. Fells caught six of seven passes for 85 yards and a touchdown last week. He found the end zone the week before that too, racking up 57 yards in the process. Green Bay gave up 78 yards and a touchdown to Rob Gronkowski last Sunday. Fells is a solid streaming option this week.
