Kenyan Drake hurts ankle in 4th quarter of Week 7, will undergo MRI on Monday

Cardinals RB Kenyan Drake injured his ankle and was replaced by Chase Edmonds. We break down what it means.

Monday update: X-rays came back negative on Drake’s ankle. He will have an MRI on Monday to determine any other damage and how much time he might miss, per Adam Schefter.

Overtime update: Drake injured his ankle and will not return to the game.

The Arizona Cardinals are attempting to come back against the Seattle Seahawks, and they find themselves shorthanded in the fourth quarter. Running back Kenyan Drake went down in pain after converting a 4th and 1 at the Seahawks 43. He was helped off the field by trainers and then taken to the locker room on a cart.

Drake had 14 carries for 34 yards, along with a seven yard reception. Chase Edmonds takes over for him in the Cardinals backfield. Edmonds has 11 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also six receptions for 76 yards.
