New York Giants wideout Sterling Shepard has fallen off the radar since landing on the IR earlier this year. He entered 2020 as his team’s top receiver and take the top spot back from Darius Slayton if he can build on his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7.
Shepard caught six of his eight targets for 59 yards and a score against Philadelphia. He has the highest catch rate (77.7 percent) of any Giants player with at least 10 receptions. Slayton and Evan Engram ranks first and second in receptions, but have caught less than 60 percent of their targets. Shepard could provide Daniel Jones with some much-needed consistent and his ownership is surprisingly low ahead of Week 8.
Only 28 percent of Yahoo leagues have him rostered. The Giants don’t have a dynamic passing attack this year but Shepard’s big-play potential could make him useful for fantasy managers looking for help at wide receiver.
