Cole Beasley: Early waiver wire option in Week 8

Cole Beasley is a waiver wire wideout worth keeping an eye on ahead of Week 8.

No, it’s not click bait.

Bills WR Cole Beasley may have one of the safest floors you could hope to find in a PPR league. Though he sits behind wideout Stefon Diggs, Beasley has quietly racked up a total of 49 targets for 19% of his team’s target share. He leads the team in red zone targets and has proven reliable enough to move the chains, currently tied for the 11th-most receiving first-downs in the league.

Without WR John Brown in the lineup, Beasley saw 12 targets, converting 11 for receptions to total 112 receiving yards. Though he went scoreless in today’s outing, it’s worth noting that has had at least 50 yards or a score in each outing so far this year. He gives fantasy managers the best of both worlds with a safe receiving floor as a possession receiver, yet holds enough upside to post 100-receiving yard games in two of his seven outings so far.

Beasley ranks as the WR20 in half-PPR formats through seven games, yet remains available in 61% of ESPN fantasy football leagues.
