Russell Wilson was the frontrunner to win this year’s MVP Award ahead of Week 7 and remains the frontrunner on DraftKings Sportsbook despite losing to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. He has the best odds in the field at +100. He’s trailed by the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers (+400) and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes (+450). Some other signal callers are falling behind the the leaders ahead of Week 8. Let’s go over who the biggest fallers were.
Derek Carr (+10000)
Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders were riding high after their Week 5 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs. That didn’t last for long though, as they were blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following their bye in Week 6. Carr dropped from +3300 after throwing for 284 yards and two scores against Tampa Bay.
Teddy Bridgewater (+25000)
Bridgewater was +10000 ahead of Week 7 and his drop is much more confusing than Garoppolo’s. He threw for 282 yards and two scores in a loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He’s among the league leaders in passing yards and is only second to Drew Brees in completion percentage. It appears like two straight losses can do a ton of damage.
