Friday PM update: Dalvin Cook wasn’t on the injury report, but now is, and is listed as questionable. It doesn’t appear to carry any actual meaning to his status, as coach Mike Zimmer said, “he should be ready to go,” per Ben Goessling.

Friday update: Dalvin Cook is expected to play in Week 8 against the Packers after being taken off the injury report, per The Athletic’s Chad Graff.

Thursday update: Dalvin Cook again got in a limited practice on Thursday, per the team’s Twitter. All reports have him suiting up and playing his normal role as lead back against the Packers in Week 8. Alexander Mattison will return to his backup job and can only be used in the deepest of leagues. With an extremely windy forecast, we will likely see a lot of rushing attempts in Green Bay this weekend.

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will return to practice on Wednesday following their bye, per the team’s Twitter account. Cook tweaked his groin in Week 5 and returned for a play, but then left and never returned. With their bye on the horizon, the Vikings were cautious with Cook and sat him in Week 6.

We’ll see how much work Cook gets in practice when the injury report comes out, but all the previous reporting on Cook has suggested he would be ready for Week 8 against the Packers and his practice participation backs that up.
