Game day update: With Joe Mixon out for the second straight week, we can expect more emphasis on the pass than usual. Giovani Bernard has posted just 52 rushing yards on 21 attempts over the team’s last two outings, so Burrow will need these receivers to get involved early. The Bengals sit +6.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook, so each of these WRs should have an opportunity (at least) for some garbage time, even if their day isn’t overly efficient.
Only one team throws the ball more than the Cincinnati Bengals. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow is averaging more than 40 pass attempts every week, and while that’s mostly due to the fact that they’re playing from behind, it’s made their wide receivers valuable commodities in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals WRs Tyler Boyd, A.J. Green, Tee Higgins
Boyd is the top option for Burrow, averaging nearly nine targets per game. He had his second outing with more than 100 yards last week, but he’s only found the end zone twice. Higgins is doing alright too, leading this trio with three touchdowns. He had 71 yards and a score last Sunday. He’s averaging 83 yards per game over his last four. And while he had been the odd man out in this group, veteran A.J. Green now has two games in a row with more than 80 yards.
The Bengals will surely find themselves playing catch up again this week against the Titans, which bodes well for their receivers. Tennessee is allowing an average of 272 passing yards per game. Boyd is the best play for fantasy purposes and a decent buy in DFS leagues ($6,600 in DraftKings leagues this week.) Higgins and Green are viable options for third receiver spots or flex plays in your lineup.
