The first fight on the main card of UFC Vegas 12 will be a lightweight bout between Bobby Green and Thiago Moises live this Saturday from Las Vegas, Nevada, and also available on ESPN+.
Green will enter as the favorite with a 27-10-1 MMA career record, and riding a three-match winning streak. What’s crazy about Green’s resume is that his last six fights have ended via unanimous decision (four going his way) and his last eight fights have ended via decision. He has had one fight not go the distance since late 2013.
The 34-year-old is both a capable striker and grappler. Averaging 5.13 significant strikes per minute and 1.53 takedowns per 15 minutes, Green strikes with 51 percent accuracy while defending at a 63 percent clip. He’s an all-around solid fighter, and one that will test Thiago Moises, who is more of a grappler-heavy fighter.
Moises averages 1.1 takedowns per fight, and submitted his last opponent in May with an ankle lock. He averages just 2.68 significant strikes per minute yet is outdone by his opponent’s 3.54. With a 3-2 UFC record, Moises is still looking to improve, and will be a significant underdog to the more experienced Green.
