What to do with Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley in Week 8 fantasy football

We go over Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Chargers Week 8 matchup against the Broncos.

With Austin Ekeler out of action, the Los Angeles Chargers have turned to the duo of Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelly to fill the void. Two-headed running back situations can be a bit of a nightmare for fantasy owners. Fortunately, you can save yourself the headache and skip these two players in Week 8.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers RBs Justin Jackson, Joshua Kelley

Kelley had an edge over Jackson in carries last week against the Jaguars, rushing 12 times for 29 yards compared to just five carries (and 12 yards) for Jackson. The later’s value comes from his role in the passing game, where he has the edge over his teammate. Neither player posted the kind of numbers worth a roster spot in fantasy against the Jaguars, not with quarterback Justin Herbert doing so much of the work himself.

This week’s opponent, the Broncos, have done a pretty good job keeping running backs from contributing much. They’ve given up just two rushing touchdowns all season, and they haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher since James Conner back in Week 2.
