The fourth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish are looking to stay undefeated (5-0) this season as they take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-4) on Halloween Saturday. This will be the second-straight road contest for the Irish as they blew out the Pittsburgh Panthers 45-3 last weekend.
Against Pitt senior quarterback Ian Book completed 53.3 percent of his passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns, and added 40 yards on the ground. The 6-foot quarterback is completing 59.7-percent of his passes for 1,026 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception. Along with Book, Notre Dame has a solid running game led by sophomore running back Kyren Williams.
Williams struggled on the ground versus the Panthers, rushing for 38 yards on 17 carries. However for the season he has 524 rushing yards on 90 carries and five touchdowns. He could be due for a big game on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets’ defense is giving up 198.7 rushing yards per game this season.
As for the Ramblin’ Wreck, they are riding a two-game losing streak as they lost last week 48-27 to the Boston College Eagles. The Yellow Jackets were down 24-0 in the first half and had three turnovers.

The Best Bet
Remember when Clemson blew out Georgia Tech 73-7 a couple of weeks ago? Well expect to see the Fighting Irish to handle the Yellow Jackets with ease on Saturday. Ian Book and company should be able to put points and yards against a Tech defense that is giving up 50 points at home and over 500 yards of total offense. Georgia Tech quarterback Jeff Sims might have a moment here and there, but the true freshman will struggle.
Pick: Notre Dame -21
