How and what to watch for Texas vs. No. 6 Oklahoma State

OSU will look to remain unbeaten when welcoming Texas to Stillwater.

The No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowboys are feeling pretty good right now as they’re undefeated and sitting near the top of the Big XII standings while knocking on the door of potential College Football Playoff considerations. To keep this going, they’ll have to clear a big hurdle when welcoming the Texas Longhorns to Stillwater on Halloween.

The No. 6 Cowboys capitalized on two missed field goals by Iowa State last Saturday to hang on for the 24-21 victory. Star running back Chuba Hubbard broke off 139 rushing yards on 5.6 yards per carry and a touchdown to lead OSU at home. Though the ‘Pokes are 4-0, outside of last week’s win over the Cyclones at home they’ve played a pretty light schedule.

Meanwhile in Austin, quarterback Sam Ehlinger used both his arms and legs to carry UT by tossing one TD and running for two. The ‘Horns are 3-2, which means head coach Tom Herman is on the hot seat for sure. Take away their stats in a win over UTEP, and in the Big 12 the wealthiest program has looked downright pedestrian.
