In a heavyweight bout on the main card of UFC Vegas 12, Maurice Greene will take on former NFL player Greg Hardy live from Las Vegas this Saturday and also available on ESPN+.
Hardy will open as the heavy favorite in this fight. Originally an NFL player, Hardy was such a popular name that once he transitioned to the UFC, most of his bouts came with the promotion. He’s 6-2 with one no contest to his name.
Without a single takedown, Hardy relies on his striking averaging 4.48 per minute. He absorbs 2.79 significant strikes per minute, defending 58 percent of his opponent’s attempts. “Prince of War” does have a three-round loss to #6 Alexander Volkov.
His opponent Greene, aka “The Crochet Boss,” is 9-5 in his MMA career. 4-1 in the UFC, he averages 4.31 significant strikes per minute. Like most heavyweights, he also relies heavily on his striking. Taking 3.96 per minute, Greene’s ability to defend may make this a short bout.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Maurice Greene vs. Greg Hardy at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
Betting splits
Maurice Greene: +250, (15% of action, 14% of bets)
Greg Hardy: -335, (85% of action, 86% of bets)
DraftKings DFS Values
Maurice Greene: $7,400

There will be a multitude of punches thrown, and given what we saw from heavy-hitting Volkov last weekend, it’s safe to assume his won’t go the distance. Five of Greene’s six bouts have ended before the full 15 have expired.
It could be a major plus for Hardy, and it opens up a nice opportunity for those playing to bet on his hefty price tag.
