In the second bantamweight bout of the preliminary card, Adrain Yanez will take on Victor Rodriguez live this Saturday as part of UFC Vegas 12 from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
Yanez will enter the octagon as the heavy favorite, and he’ll have both a height and reach advantage. With one UFC victory under his belt, Yanez is 11-3 at the MMA level with six of his victories coming via knockout. He relies on his striking, and with Rodriguez as a replacement fighter hopefully being a more competent opponent than Brady Huang, who he knocked out in 39 seconds.
Due to an undisclosed injury from Aaron Phillips, he’ll be fighting 28-year-old Victor Rodriguez. Just 4-2 in the MMA, “Vicious” is on a four-match win streak, all via knockout, and hasn’t lost since 2014 with a four-year hiatus between his losses and wins. Entering as a massive underdog, he’ll be a wild card with a puncher’s chance.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Adrian Yanez vs. Victor Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
Betting splits
Adrian Yanez: -455, (94% of action, 90% of bets)
Victor Rodriguez: +300, (6% of action, 10% of bets)
DraftKings DFS Values
Adrian Yanez: $9,200

The unpredictability of this fight may help Yanez, but given his price tag and the unknown surrounding how much Rodriguez has improved since his two losses, this could be one where Rodriguez is the better play. Probably the most difficult bout on the card to handicap, you might find better sure value other places.
