In one of the several middleweight bouts of UFC Vegas 12, Sean Strickland and Jack Marshman will meet on the preliminary card this Saturday live from Las Vegas and available on ESPN+.
Strickland will enter the octagon as the heavy favorite. With 23 MMA bouts, Strickland is experienced and dominant, winning 20 of them. He’s 7-3 at the UFC level, but hasn’t fought since late 2018. Strickland was formerly a welterweight, and went a full 15 with current champion Kamara Usman. He averages 4.34 significant strikes per minute and 1.37 takedowns per 15. A mixed bag of tricks, Strickland typically relies on his striking.
He’ll draw “The Hammer” in this contest. For Marshman, he’s almost full dependent on striking, landing 2.64 per minute yet absorbing 3.54. He’s just 3-4 in the UFC, and in his last bout in July of 2019, he tapped out in 72 seconds to Edmen Shahbazyan.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Sean Strickland vs. Jack Marshman at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
