For UFC Vegas 12 the preliminary card has a light heavyweight bout between Dustin Jacoby and Justin Ledet live from the UFC Apex facility.
At 12-5, Jacoby enters with a two-fight win streak, unanimous decisions over Cody East and Ty Flores at Dana White’s Contender Series to get back on the main roster for the first time since 2012. He’s been an aggressive fighter recently, which has translated to real success. That combined with experience and winning can hand you, should be enough for a downward trending Ledet. A true striker, this matchup is favorable.
In Ledet you have a fighter reeling from recent losses. After starting his career 9-0 including 3-0 in the UFC, he’s lost three straight and confidence can be an issue. As a fighter, Ledet’s style has been mixed, and it does not favor him that he absorbs 4.67 strikes per minute and defends only half of them. He was easily out struck in his last three losses, and I don’t see it improving.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Dustin Jacoby vs. Justin Ledet at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
Betting splits
Dustin Jacoby: -335, (74% of action, 87% of bets)
Justin Ledet: +245, (26% of action, 13% of bets)
DraftKings DFS Values
Dustin Jacoby: $8,900
Justin Ledet: $7,300
Jacoby is the favorite here for a reason. It’s a bit of a price you’ll have to pay, but his recent uptick has shown he can score in bunches. There’s a chance he ends Ledet’s UFC run this evening.
