What to do with Jamaal Williams, AJ Dillon in Week 8 fantasy football

We go over the fantasy football outlooks of Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon ahead of the Packers Week 8 matchup against the Vikings.

Sunday update: The weather forecast should benefit those rostering Jamaal Williams. Gusts of more than 40 mph means both teams will likely be forced to rely heavily on their ground games. ESPN is projecting Williams to have 18.6 points and Dillon to have 7.2 points in PPR leagues.

The Packers Week 8 matchup against the Vikings will be a test of how for the running backs as the incumbent Aaron Jones will be out this week. How will the Green Bay running backs fare fantasy wise?

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers RBs Jamaal Williams, A.J. Dillon

It seems Williams shares a binary relationship with Jones as he takes the bulk of the carries when he’s out. Therefore, he is a must have this week against a lackluster Vikings defense. Last week, Jones was out and Williams took full advantage racking up 114 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 23 touches while playing 89 percent of offensive snaps. A dang good game. A must start in fantasy.

Last week with Jones out, even rookie Dillon got some action. On five touches he had just 11 yards, but with facing such a favorable matchup he could get another four to six carries easily. It’s probably not enough to start in most fantasy leagues, but keep an eye on Dillon if Jones is out longer this season.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Williams, Sit Dillon.
