How to handle Andy Dalton’s injury in Week 8 fantasy football

Andy Dalton is on the Cowboys final injury report for Week 8. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

If you were maybe thinking about starting Andy Dalton in fantasy this week, let me go ahead and stop you right there. Dalton is dealing with a concussion, suffered on a hit last week against Washington, and he will be out of action this week. Ben DiNucci will start in his place. Of course, injury or not, you should not have been considering Dalton as a fantasy option.

Fantasy impact: Andy Dalton (concussion)

It seemed like Dalton might be a decent play in his first start after the Cowboys lost Dak Prescott. After all, Dallas is loaded with talented offensive skill players, but Dalton finished that game, against Arizona, with 266 yards, one touchdown, and two picks. He threw another interception before he got hurt last week.

DiNucci is a rookie seventh-round pick out of James Madison University. He is not a recommended fantasy play either. They play the Eagles this week, a team that still has the ability to harass opposing quarterbacks.
