What to do with Ronald Jones, LeSean McCoy in Week 4 fantasy football

Ronald Jones still has a hold on the starting running back job in Tampa Bay, but Leonard Fournette could gain ground in Week 4 against the Chargers.

Ronald Jones was outdone by Leonard Fournette in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers, but returned to feature back status the following week. Now with Fournette out with an ankle injury, where is the fantasy value for these two running backs?

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs RBs Ronald Jones, LeSean McCoy

Jones hasn’t had a dominant performance this season, but has received more than 10 carries in two of his three games this season. He leads Tampa Bay in carries (37) and rushing yards (142). But now with Fournette out, Jones should have that middling workload turn into a safer number of touches for fantasy. The Chargers run defense is above average so far this season, but they can be beaten.

McCoy isn’t a favorite in the ground game and has just one carry on the year, but does lead all Buccaneers backs with 12 targets. With Fournette out, he could see more work, but Jones should absorb most of the extra snaps.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Jones and sit McCoy.
