The Indianapolis Colts ushered in a new era of football in 2020, one led by rookie Jonathan Taylor and veteran Phillip Rivers. While Marlon Mack came into the season as the starter, his injury gave Jonathan Taylor a quick opportunity to shine. Taylor and the Colts will draw a tough matchup against a gritty Bears defense in Week 4.
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts RBs Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines
After a nine-carry first game, Taylor has headed up in the past two, turning 39 rushes into 160 yards and two touchdowns. With a touchdown in both the last two games, Taylor is turning into one of the most reliable backs in a league shredded by injuries. The same can’t said for Hines who has just 14 carries this season. The Colts will take on the Bears who were shredded on the ground by both the Todd Gurley-led Falcons and Adrian Peterson-led Lions. The Bears allow over 20 points per game, so expect a Colts back to find the end zone like they’ve done in all three of the team’s outings.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Continuing as the lead back, if you have Jonathan Taylor, especially in a PPR league, start him. However, Nyheim Nines should be sat as should Jordan Wilkins as both will split carries and haven’t proven as versatile as the rookie Taylor.
There’s just not enough to go around for two or three startable running backs.
