What to do with Drew Brees in Week 4 fantasy football

Delivering a solid outing in a loss vs. the Packers last week, what does Drew Brees have in store for the Lions this Sunday?

Drew Brees delivered a solid individual performance in the New Orleans Saints’ 37-30 home loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, completing just under 70 percent of his passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns.

Still adjusting to life without Michael Thomas in the fold, the veteran is gunning to get the Saints back in the win column when traveling to Detroit on Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints QB Drew Brees

With Thomas out, Brees has leaned on running back Alvin Kamara as his go-to check down option. Through three games, Kamara leads the Saints in receiving by catching 27 of his 31 targets for 285 yards and three scores through the air.

Receivers Tre’Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders have also gotten their fair share of looks with double-digit targets as well as tight end Jared Cook, although Cook was held out of practice on Wednesday with a groin injury.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

There’s a little bit of value for Brees this week with him going for $5,800 on DFS. The Saints quarterback will face minimal pressure with the Lions ranking near the bottom of the league in sacks and QB hits, so expect him to have plenty of time to find his targets.

Brees is a start in Week 4.
