Undefeated teams rarely change their starting quarterbacks three weeks into the season, but that’s just how regrettable the Mitchell Trubisky era is in Chicago, I suppose. Now, it’s Nick Foles leading the way for the foreseeable future. The decision raises a possibility that has haunted fantasy footballers before, should you start Foles?
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Nick Foles
Habit compels one to instantly dismiss the idea of starting Foles in fantasy. Too many of us have been burned by that decision in the past. But, maybe, just maybe, he’ll be good this season, at least good enough to stream in lineups throughout the year.
One game against the Falcons’ atrocious pass defense isn’t quite enough to make a rousing endorsement. Then again, three touchdowns (and one pick) in that game are going to get some looks this week, especially with obvious starters like Ben Roethlisberger and Ryan Tannehill now on a bye.
The problem this week is that the Bears and Foles face a pretty good Colts defense, one that’s got six interceptions in its last two outings. I would skip Foles this week; there’s just not enough on paper here to trust him, especially given the matchup.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Nick Foles.
