Jared Goff is still a long way from looking like the quarterback who led a high-flying Rams offense to the Super Bowl two years ago, but over the last two week’s his play has been steady enough to keep his team competitive and give him some value in fantasy football leagues.
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams QB Jared Goff
Despite throwing a pick last week in a narrow loss to the Bills, Goff finished the game with a pair of touchdown throws, his first 300-plus yard outing of the season, and a rushing score for good measure. That comes off a Week 2 performance that saw him throw three touchdowns against the hapless Eagles.
This week, Goff and the Rams get to play another NFC East team already left for dead, the New York Giants. Despite not needing to do a lot of heavy lifting, opposing quarterbacks are still managing to score points against the Giants, who have played a backup QB and Mitchell Trubisky in their last two games. Goff’s final numbers might not be among the week’s best scores, but it should be a decent enough performance to give him a spot in your lineup.
