Johnson and Johnson... man, these jokes pretty much write themselves. But for weeks now, the Houston Texans have only had one Johnson available to them, David Johnson, the one they traded away all-world wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for. But this week, Duke Johnson is back in the fold. So which one gets priority in fantasy lineups this week?
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans RBs David Johnson, Duke Johnson
David Johnson’s numbers aren’t much to look at thanks to a brutal schedule to start the season. His best week was the opener against the Chiefs when he ran for 77 yards and found the end zone. He’s failed to top 35 since then, and has just 71 receiving yards in three games.
But this week brings a much easier matchup. The Vikings defense has allowed a total of 408 rushing yards to running backs in three games this season. Colts RB Jonathan Taylor and Titans RB Derrick Henry both had triple-digit games against Minnesota this season.
Duke Johnson’s presence complicates things a little, but the other Johnson should have the edge with the chance to put up nice fantasy numbers. In fact, at just $5,600 in DraftKings leagues, he’s a sneaky bargain this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start David Johnson. Sit Duke Johnson.
