The fourth week of the NFL season will close out with the Philadelphia Eagles looking for their first win of the season on the road against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. The game will get started at 8:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on NBC.
After losing to the Washington Football Team by 10 points and Los Angeles Rams by 18, the Eagles tied with the winless Cincinnati Bengals 23-23 on Sunday to put their records at 0-2-1 this season. Each team had the ball for three full possessions, and nobody was able to score in the 10-minute overtime session. Carson Wentz completed 29 of 47 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. He also threw two interceptions but rushed for 65 yards on nine attempts with a touchdown. Miles Sanders did well on the ground with 95 yards on 18 carries.
San Francisco played surprisingly well given how much of its talent was unable to play on Sunday in a 36-9 road win over the New York Giants to improve to 2-1. Jimmy Garoppolo missed the game with an injury along with some key starters, but backup Nick Mullens threw for 343 yards on 25 of 36 passing with a touchdown. Garoppolo is ruled out for Sunday’s game, but Mullens has proven he can make plays in this San Francisco offense.
The injury reports are fairly brutal for both teams. The Eagles will be without WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring), WR Alshon Jeffery (foot), CB Avonte Maddox (ankle), CB Trevor Williams (rib), and OT Jason Peters (foot), with WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (calf) not expected to play either.
The 49ers will be without DE Dee Ford (back), QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), LB Dre Greenlaw (quadricep), CB Emmanuel Moseley (concussion), RB Raheem Mostert (knee), TE Jordan Reed (knee), and CB Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring).
The 49ers enter as seven-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the point total set at 46. San Francisco’s odds to win on the moneyline are at -315, while Philadelphia has +265 odds.
Here’s a look at where the sports bettors are placing their money on DraftKings.
