Game day update: Both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley are expected to play Monday night against the Packers, according to Tom Pelissero. Both had been listed as questionable.
The Atlanta Falcons listed both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley as questionable ahead of their Monday night game against the Green Bay Packers. Jones has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but he was able to practice in a limited role later in the week. There’s a good chance he’ll play this week, based on comment from head coach Dan Quinn. Ridley sat out Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury, but was able to get back on the field as a limited participant on Friday.
Fantasy impact: Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley injury
Of the two, Jones is a safer bet to play this week’s game. Despite a monster start to the season, he only had 24 yards in Week 2, and sat out last week’s game against the Bears. Ridley has been the team’s best receiver, topping 100 yards in all three games so far and finding the end zone four times.
It’s tough to bank on Ridley playing this week, which is dicey, because if he does end up playing, he’ll most certain have fantasy value. If he doesn’t play, Jones could be in for a big game. Also important to note is the fact that the team’s third receiver, Russell Gage, is expected to play after being the in concussion protocol earlier this week. He’s a good addition if Ridley can’t play.
