UPDATE: Head coach Bruce Arians told the media after the game that Howard has ruptured his Achilles and is likely done for the season.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard suffered an Achilles injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He caught three passes for 50 yards and a score in the contest before being carted to the locker room. It’s unclear how serious the injury is, but Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate could become more involved in the offense if he misses an extended period of time.
