Final injury report
The NFL wrapped up practices on Friday most of the schedule, which brings the final injury report. The teams still completing practices over the weekend are the Broncos, Patriots, Saints, Chargers, Titans, and Bills. Saints-Chargers is a go for Monday Night Football. Broncos-Patriots is scheduled for Monday and Bills-Titans is scheduled for Tuesday so long as there are no more positive Covid-19 tests. We’ll add those six teams’ players as their final injury reports arrive.

Wednesday injury report
The NFL returned to practice on Wednesday to get Week 5 going, and the day closed with the first injury report of the week. The wide receiver position has been dealing with a lot of injuries this season, and DNPs on Wednesday are not something to take super seriously with certain players. From the group below, the players most likely to miss this weekend are Breshad Perriman, Julio Jones, Bryan Edwards, and Steven Sims. All are worth waiting to see on Thursday’s report, but most are likely to be upgraded to limited.
DNP: Breshad Perriman (ankle), John Brown (calf), Andre Roberts (ankle), Julio Jones (hamstring), K.J. Hamler (hamstring), Bryan Edwards (ankle, foot), Dontrelle Inman (foot), Terry McLaurin (thigh), Steven Sims (toe), Diontae Johnson (toe), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee)
Limited: Chris Hogan (ribs, knee), Cole Beasley (foot), A.J. Brown (knee), Calvin Ridley (thigh, knee), Marquise Brown (knee), Chris Moore (thigh, finger), Julian Edelman (knee), Odell Beckham (toe), Laviska Shenault (hamstring), Henry Ruggs (knee, hamstring), DeVante Parker (ankle), Dante Pettis (knee), Trent Taylor (ankle), Adam Thielen (shoulder), DeSean Jackson (hamstring), Alshon Jeffery (foot)
Full: Jamison Crowder (hamstring), Jarvis Landry (hip), Mecole Hardman (hamstring), Tyreek Hill (heel), David Moore (ankle), J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (calf)
Week 4 brought all the stud wide receivers to the yard, as Odell Beckham Jr., Amari Cooper, D.J. Chark, Adam Thielen and Mike Evans finished as the Top 5 PPR receivers. The outliers ini the Top 10 were Tim Patrick and Tre’Quan Smith, both players who earned those points and have set themselves up for future targets.
Injury news
Michael Thomas should be closer to a return from his ankle injury this week, as he was able to get in some limited practices before Week 4. If he can go, Tre’Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders take a hit while Drew Brees gets a bump.
The Eagles wide receivers are a mess, but there is a chance that Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson return this week against the Steelers. Their upside wouldn’t be great, but getting them back would be a boon for Carson Wentz.
A.J. Brown should return this week, as long as the Titans have finally run out of new positive Covid-19 tests. A matchup with Tre’Davious White wouldn’t be the best welcome home party, but we know how high his upside can be.
Diontae Johnson is back at practice and looks like he’ll be good to go for their matchup with their interstate matchup with the Eagles.
Julio Jones re-injured his hamstring on Monday night against the Packers. His status for this week doesn’t look great. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage could get a boost in targets against the Panthers this week.
The Buccaneers play on Thursday, so Chris Godwin is probably going to have a tough time getting healthy for this matchup against the Bears. They will likely take the extra time to get him ready for Week 6 against the Packers.
Bye weeks
The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will get to rest up this week during their byes. That will knock out Kenny Golladay and Davante Adams, two of the best receivers in the game. But the by should get Adams completely healthy and maybe the same for Golladay, who was able to play the last two weeks, but might not have been at 100 percent.

Deebo Samuel, 49ers
Samuel returned last week, but only saw 34 percent of the snaps in his first game back from a foot injury. He did get a rushing attempt for 10 yards and caught all three of his targets for 35 yards. The 49ers are slowly getting healthier and as long as Samuel can up his snap count this week, he should be startable against a weak Dolphins defense.
D.J. Moore, Panthers
Robby Anderson has quietly played as the Panthers No. 1 receiver, but Moore is only two targets behind him and both look like great starts this week against an injured and bad Falcons pass defense.
