O.J. Howard is expected to miss the rest of 2020 with an Achilles injury, and that means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need a tight end to step up. Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate will be more involved moving forward. Let’s go over which player is most likely to be an impactful fantasy football option.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs TEs Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate
Gronkowski hasn’t been the standout receiver many thought he would be alongside Tom Brady. He’s acted as a blocking tight end rather than a dynamic playmaker. While he only has nine catches for 88 yards, he’s led all Tampa Bay tight ends in snaps since Week 1. He has the fifth highest snap percentage (86) among tight ends across the league in Week 4. Brate has only been targeted twice and has a three-yard touchdown reception. He’s only logged more than 10 snaps once this season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Gronkowski is the best option here. He has chemistry with Brady and should get even more snaps than usual with Howard out.
