The Los Angeles Lakers will look to close out the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals on Friday night. The Lake Show leads the series 3-1 after a win in Game 4, now within one win of capturing its first championship since 2010. Jimmy Butler and the Heat likely won’t go away without a fight. It looks like they won’t be getting PG Goran Dragic (foot) back in the lineup, however, as he is listed as doubtful to play. Let’s take a look at what to watch for in Game 5.
Game Time/TV Channel/Streaming
Game 5 on Friday will take place at 9:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted on ABC and will be streaming on the ESPN app, fuboTV and YouTube TV.
Point Spread, Totals, Odds
Spread: Lakers -7
Moneyline: Lakers (-335), Heat (+260)
The Best Bet: Lakers -7 (-110)
I think in Game 4 we saw as much pushback and fight from the Heat as we saw all series. Other than when Jimmy Butler went bonkers in Game 4 and had a 40-point triple-double. That’s what it took for the Heat to steal a game from L.A. in this series. I’m fully expecting the Lakers to close out the Heat and had it not been for a Tyler Herro 3-pointer in the final seconds, L.A. would have covered the spread in Game 4. I think we see a similar outcome in Game 5, except this time the Lakers will lay the hammer down. Anthony Davis and LeBron James are going for the killer. They don’t want Miami getting any more hope or momentum.
