Buffalo Bills quarterback has been on a downward slide for three weeks after opening up 2020 as one of the most productive fantasy options in the NFL. Allen failed to take advantage of an easy matchup against the New York Jets in Week 7 but will look to snap his cold streak against the New England Patriots in Week 8.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bills QB Josh Allen

Allen is still a top -ive fantasy quarterback despite his recent performances. This week, he’ll be up against a Patriots secondary that has given up the fourth-fewest passing yards in the NFL. Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley are healthy, but John Brown’s been dealing with a calf injury that’s kept him out of the last two contests. The good news is that Brown was left without an injury designation on the final injury report. These receivers and Allen’s arm may be no match for the weather though, as winds are projected beyond 25 mph during this matchup. Stephon Gilmore and the McCourty twins remain top-notch defensive backs. Mobile quarterbacks like Russell Wilson and Cam Newton have given the Patriots a ton of trouble and Allen athleticism to spare. Allen ranks sixth in rushing yards and fourth in rushing touchdowns among quarterbacks.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Allen’s ceiling is too high to leave him on the bench in season-long fantasy. His recent slide could also make him a solid variance play in DFS.
